What IOM can offer for those who have been granted Family Reunification?

If you have been granted family reunification for your family to come to Norway and UDI is not paying for your family’s travel IOM Oslo can, in cooperation with IOM in the country where your family is staying, offer you the following assistance:

• IOM can assist with arranging tickets for your family members to come to Norway.  IOM has offices in more that 120 countries around the world. As long as IOM has an operational office in the country where your family is staying, IOM can arrange tickets at a reasonable price as IOM has agreements with many airline companies world wide.
• IOM can assist your family at the airport before departure, in transit within a European country and upon arrival in Norway. This means that IOM staff will be able to meet and assist your family at all airports prior to their final destination in Norway.
• If your family member is a minor travelling alone or has some medical issues requiring extra care, IOM can provide for someone to escort and help your family member throughout the travel.
• If the final destination is outside of Oslo IOM can arrange domestic tickets to the nearest airport in Norway.
• IOM will work in close cooperation with the Norwegian Embassy in the country where your family is staying to make sure your family receives a travel document for their travel.
• IOM Oslo will during the whole process coordinate with the IOM mission in the country where your family is staying to secure a safe travel and dignified for your family members.
