If you have a valid resident permit in Norway, but wish to return to your home country, you can apply for economic support from the Norwegian authorities. IOM will organize and book tickets for you on behalf of The Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI).

Who is eligible to apply for repatriation?

  • You must have been granted protection (asylum) or residence on grounds of strong humanitarian considerations, or have been granted family immigration with a person who belongs to one of these groups.

  • At least three months must have passed since you were granted a residence permit.

  • Normally not applicable to Norwegian citizens, but you can apply for a dispensation.
